Questions about LENS View?
Straight answers about compatibility, deployment, security, integrations, and support.
Will LENS View work with our existing cameras and NVRs?
In most cases, yes. LENS View supports cameras and NVRs using ONVIF Profiles G, M, S and T, RTSP, and vendor-specific integrations for widely used device families. We confirm the exact models and firmware during discovery so compatibility is proven before rollout.
Can it run without internet, or fully air-gapped?
Yes. Edge and on-premises deployments can run without a cloud dependency, and a fully air-gapped design can keep video and inference inside your network. Offline licensing is supported; the update method and any external-integration dependencies are agreed as part of the solution design.
Do we have to license every analytic?
No. Analytics can be enabled and licensed only for the cameras that need them. The commercial package is sized around your selected capabilities and channels, so you do not have to buy the entire analytics catalogue.
Where does our video data live, and how long is it retained?
You choose the architecture: edge, on-premises, hybrid, or cloud. Recordings can remain on local or server storage, DAS, NAS, iSCSI, or an approved cloud design, with retention and protected-clip rules configured to your operational and compliance requirements.
Can operators use LENS View on web, desktop, and mobile?
Yes. LENS View supports web and desktop clients, plus Android and iOS access for live video, recorded video, alerts, and supported camera controls. What each user can see or do is governed by role-based permissions and the deployment's network policy.
What alerts can LENS View send?
LENS View can raise alerts from cameras, recorders, storage, system health, digital inputs, and configured AI events. Alerts can appear in the operator console and, where configured, be delivered through email, mobile notifications, or connected response systems.
Can it integrate with our other security and enterprise systems?
Yes. LENS View provides API and SDK integration paths and supports common interfaces for access control, fire alarms, digital I/O, SNMP, MODBUS, and third-party analytics. The exact interface and workflow are validated during solution design.
How are security, privacy, and user access handled?
The platform supports role-based access, two-factor authentication, audit logs, encrypted transport, custom SSL certificates, privacy masking and blurring, and configurable retention. The final hardening baseline is matched to your network, policy, and regulatory requirements.
How accurate is face recognition?
There is no honest universal percentage: results depend on camera position, resolution, lighting, pose, image quality, and watchlist design. We validate performance with your real cameras and representative data during a pilot, then tune thresholds to the site's operating conditions.
How is the system sized for our site?
Sizing is based on camera count, resolution, frame rate, recording schedule, retention, analytics load, concurrent users, and redundancy needs. LENS Corporation provides the server, storage, network, and edge-compute design for the agreed workload instead of applying a one-size-fits-all capacity claim.
What compliance documents are available for Indian government procurement?
Depending on the tender scope, the procurement pack can include applicable LENS View STQC/VAPT documents and LENS Corporation ISO certificates. We verify each document's scope and validity against the bid instead of making a blanket certification claim.
Can we test LENS View before a full rollout?
Yes. A 14-day trial can be arranged on your own cameras, with help defining compatibility checks, configuration, and success criteria. The rollout, training, support, and service commitments are then documented in the proposal and SLA.
